Mokyklos istorija

Pirmoji mokykla Dūkšto apylinkėse buvo įkurta apie 1890 m. Pažemiškių kaime. Tuomet mokyklose buvo mokoma rusų kalba, ir tik lenkų užimtoje teritorijoje, Rytų Lietuvoje – lenkiškai.

• 1936 m. pradėtas statyti pagrindinis Dūkšto mokyklos pastatas, kuris iki Antrojo pasaulinio karo nebuvo pabaigtas.
• 1945 m. Dūkšto dvare buvo atidaryta pirmoji progimnazijos klasė.
• 1946 m. Dūkšte atidarytos 3 progimnazijos klasės. 1947 m. mokykla persikėlė į dabartines patalpas.
• Ėjo laikas, keitėsi gyvenimas, o kartu su juo ir mokykla. Taip 1953 m. brandos atestatus gavo pirmieji abiturientai—17 mokinių.
• 1976 m. buvo pastatytas pirmasis, o 1988 m.—antrasis priestatas su erdvia sporto sale, valgykla, naujais kabinetais.
• 1997 m. išleista paskutinioji rusiškos mokyklos laida.
• 2013 m. mokyklą baigė 60-oji abiturientų laida.
• Nuo 2014 m. rugsėjo 1 mokykla tapo Dūkšto mokykla.
   

Ignalina district, Dūkštas secondary school operated since 1945 till 2014. Since 29th December, 2007, school had Rimšė section. In  September 2008 ,  section was closed, because there were no students left. Since 2012 March, it began operating a mixed group of pre-school education, where  pre-primary students were trained along with pre-school age children.

In 2014, May 29, school type was modified (the school will become major)  and it's name was changed by Ignalina District Municipality Council Decision Nr. T-62.  From August, it is called Ignalina district  Dūkštas basic school. 11-12 classes students continue their tuition in the same premises, Ignalina district, Vidiškės gymnasium Dūkštas section (decision nr. T-63) which started activities since 1st September, 2014..

By 2015-09-01 data, 1-10 classes had 109 students, another  12 children mixed pre-school group (2 of them are educated according to primary education program and 10 - according to pre-school education program). Students attend school from three parishs:  Dūkštas, Rimšė and Kazitiškis.

The school has 25 educators, 6 of them with a teacher supervisor, 9 with senior teacher, 10 with teacher qualification category, including 2 support professionals. The school has a social educator, special educator, a speech therapist and a health care professional.

The school caries out pre-school, primary and basic education programs. The school operates an accredited vocational informational points (CFI). It gathers and provides information for students, parents and teachers about learning and employment opportunities, developing students' entrepreneurship, the pursuit of knowledge, it also trains students. Career education specialist organizes study visits, meetings with various education institutions, professions.

14 students graduated 2014-2015 Basic Education Programme. 13 students received a certificate of basic education, 1 student received achievements inspection certificate. 12 of them continue their education in Vidiškės gymnasium Dūkštas section, 1 went to study in other Lithuanian educational institutions, 1 does not study and work. In Vidiškės gymnasium Dūkštas section, 14 students graduated from the secondary education program, 13 students received Maturity Certificate, 1 - received achievement certificate. 3 graduates (23%) entered the university school, 5 graduates (38%) were enrolled in tertiary non-university schools, 4 (31%) - in other schools, 2 graduates (15%) are employed.

Favorable conditions to spend your free technical facilities office and sports:  sports hall, sports ground, gym, billiard hall are open for weekends and holidays, there can exercise all Dūkštas people.  People organize informal, educational activities. This year there are 10 clubs, in which children can develop their creative, athletic, artistic capacity. Sport clubs are children's favorites. Great results are achieved by dodgeball and badminton club members. Dance club runs for second year now.

Since 2011, October 24, school participates in support programs "Vaisiai mokykloms" and "Pienas vaikams". Children up to 4th class are distributed free dairy products, fruits and vegetables.

Project activities are getting more active. Since 2012 September till 2014 April, school participated in the International Comenius school partnership project "The Legends unite us". Also participated in the project "Lyderių laikas 2" (Leader's time 2), which aims to form a support infrastructure for education leaders. For the fourth year, the second - third grade students have the opportunity to participate in the project "Išmok plaukti" (Learn to swim). This year the Lithuanian language teachers participated long-term internships for the project "Pedagogų kvalifikacijos tobulinimo ir perkvalifikavimo sistemos plėtra " (Teacher training and retraining system deveploment).

Mokykloje mokosi apie 120 mokinių. Iš viso mokyklą baigė apie 1700 abiturientų ir dirbo apie 300 mokytojų.
